Yokohama Geolandar H/TS G051 – 265/70R18 (116H) The Geolandar H/T-S G051 is a member of Yokohama?s family of three distinct highway all-season truck, van and SUV tyres. Each of these three different models sport their own unique tread pattern for a particular need. The G051 is designed for drivers who are looking for a tyre for light duty year-round on-road driving needs.
An all-season advanced tread compound combines with a symmetrical tread pattern to provide enhanced traction and handling on wet or dry road surfaces. The tyre’s cross-grooves and rounded shoulders increase dry traction and cornering performance, while increasing steering responsiveness as well.
Wide circumferential grooves and added sipes help provide wet pavement traction and handling, including light snow. The grooves are also designed to increase hydroplane resistance and add more confidence when driving in bad weather, but we feel the tyre falters in this area. Yokohama utilizes the latest in computer design technology in placing the tread blocks around the tyre to where they provide the best noise reduction. The result is improved ride quality without all the road noise.
